Introduction:
The first colonies in North America were established (settled) on the eastern coast. Europeans of different backgrounds came to the colonies in search of different things. One common reason that people came to the colonies was for a better life than what they had left behind. During the 17th and 18th century Europeans were settling in the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies.
Use the links at the top of the page to learn more about each colony. Start by labeling each state on the map in your packet. Then answer the twenty seven questions based on the reading.
